Coming to you Live from AFRO PUNK


Whether you know what it is or not, the AfroPunk Music Festival is one of the most talked about event on the East Coast. This year’s featured artists include the legendary Lauren Hill, Grace Jones, SZA, Lenny Kravitz, and many more talents from across the globe. #ArtByRavelo will certainly be front and center, vending exclusive gear and showcasing vibrant artwork all festival long with the good people of StereoType Clothing. So come through and experience live music, innovative art, good vibes, & dope people with #ArtByRavelo on August 22nd and 23rd at Brooklyn’s Commodore Barry Park. The festival begins at 1PM, promptly. 





FemaleCentric, an uplifting, one-of-a-kind mini festival, will be featuring #ArtByRavelo! Hosted by Unicorn Empress and Stereotype Co., in association with We Are Boss Level, this will be an “empowerment event meant to remind women as well as men to celebrate feminine prominence and uplift the women in their own lives.” (Daé Monae) The evening will begin with a special fashion show, followed by an important, informational panel for women, and festivities that include live music, guest performers, a photo booth, games, and pop-up shops (one of them being #ArtByRavelo). This is the perfect opportunity to meet talented young people, network, and cop some Ravelo gear.


And as a special way to uplift women, a portion of FemaleCentric’s proceeds will go to the New York Women’s Foundation– a democratic, cross-cultural, women-led non-profit that works to improve the lives of women and families by funding organizations that promote the economic security of women, as well as, their right to live safely, without violence, with their health, and sexual & reproductive rights.

#ArtByRavelo @ The Heart of Art Festival




Missed us at the last art & music expo? No problem. Guerrilla Revolution Productions and Lone Star Kitty will be presenting The Heart of Art Festival on June 27th, from 2 to 11 PM, at 75 Clinton Street, Staten Island, NY. With a $5 entry, this event includes laugh-out-loud comedy, dope artwork, live music, and a special Cinematic Uprising Awards Ceremony. Catch Ravelo there displaying her artwork, and selling exclusive apparel. After party will be held at Hashtag Bar (388 Van Duzer Street, Staten Island, NY).

Art Music and the Great Outdoors

#ArtByRavelo will be a part of the ultimate art and music expo of the season, “Established in Staten Island.” The outdoor event will take place at Joe Broadway’s this Sunday, May 31st. Amongst dozens of extraordinary artists and musicians, Ravelo will be displaying and selling her exclusive artwork and t-shirts, from 4 PM to midnight. What better way to appreciate cultivating art and dope music than with great weather and a drink? See you there!

#ArtByRavelo On The Move

Curtis High School will be administering their sixth annual Spring Fling on Saturday May 9th, 2015. This PTA-organized event is a special fundraiser where several small businesses from all over Staten Island come together to raise awareness, while promoting their goods. #ArtByRavelo is participating as a vendor for their second year in a row. So, this is your opportunity to get your hands on some Ravelo gear! Event starts at 11 a.m. and ends promptly at 5 p.m. The entrance fee is $2; food, games, and entertainment are provided for all ages. 


Ravelo will also be reaching out to the youths of Staten Island in an influential talk session. While displaying a handful of her greatest works, she aims to inspire and motivate the children to express themselves freely through art, music, or dance. This will take place from noon to 1 p.m at the Stapleton Community Center, during the Community Talent Show.
